QuickOffice Premier is a mobile office suite that allows you to create and edit Microsoft Office files on your phone.
There are three different elements to QuickOffice Premier: a word processing utility, called Quickword; a spreadsheet application called Quicksheet; and a tool for creating presentations, known as Quickpoint. All three utilities allow you to import documents created in Microsoft Office (in Word, Excel or Powerpoint format). You can also export documents you've created or edited in QuickOffice Premier into these formats.
Despite the obvious screen size issues involved, working with QuickOffice Premier is surprisingly straightforward. You use the keypad to enter text, data and numbers, and access each utility's tools from the right-hand context menu.
Although many of the formatting options and advanced manipulation tools from Microsoft Office are missing from QuickOffice Premier, there's enough features in the suite to allow you to create decent documents. For instance, Quickword boasts things like a word count, spell checker (available as a separate download), and the ability to insert tables, images and bullets.
It's obviously no replacement for your desktop office suite, but QuickOffice Premier makes for a very handy way to produce and edit Microsoft Office documents on the go.
